E-DECOLONIZE is an autonomous learning space that offers an interdisciplinary approach to learning decolonial history for BBIPOC folks. Strong emphasis is given to visual learning and an unrecorded discussion created to nurture a safe space where we can speak our truths. The goal is to provide Native/Indigenous/Brown folks with a general understanding of different historical events by offering some of the newest research that is breaking away from the traditional narrative. Reading material and additional multi-media resources are shared so that students can continue learning on their own. Classes are generally held Saturdays or Wednesday evenings and last about 1 hour and a half. All classes are recorded for immediate student access for a scheduled time. Hybrid courses consist of access to pre-recorded lectures and online class gatherings for discussion and reflection.
E-Decolonize learning is available in two ways: through free LIVE sessions on youtube or zoom on a monthly/-monthly basis and through the private courses that began Summer of 2021.
